After looking at alternatives

Our journey began 1998

Crab SurfBoards is a workshop born with the intention of producing boards of the highest quality. It’s an ambitious project aiming to combine the latest technology with the extensive experience of international shapers and the leading brands in the raw materials market: Artic Foam, Hexcel, Cray Valley, Future, FCS, etc. We do not produce with OEM brands or low-quality standards; our aim is to satisfy our surfers with boards that stand out for their shapes, finishes, and durability, as well as an unmatched aging process.

Crab Factory

Our workshop, covering over 800 square meters, includes various rooms for design, shaping, glassing, sanding, and more—all designed and built to the specifications of one of the best shapers and collaborator of Crab SurfBoards, Jason Flanagan. He’s been an important part of this project since its inception, contributing all his experience and regularly working on the shapes for Crab SurfBoards alongside Jose Freire.

From our workshop, we shape and glass boards for world-class riders from the Flanagan SurfBoards team, and it’s quite likely that if you drop by, you’ll find Jason himself shaping in one of the rooms.

Simplicity in design and form

We’re just getting started

All our shapes are created using CAD-assisted design (Shape 3D) and produced on a state-of-the-art 4-axis CNC machine, ensuring perfect symmetry and volume distribution, while allowing us to analyze all the board’s parameters with our clients before the shaping process even begins.

Not only do we prioritize production elements, but we also focus on the quality of the shapes, the latest design trends, and materials combined with the expertise of top-notch shapers who work in our workshop, all with the goal of making our customers happy with their boards.
